Journalism Broadcast Lecturer

University of Massachusetts Amherst

The lecturer will help lead expansion of the broadcast program and will teach six courses per year, most in the broadcast curriculum. The lecturer also will help students produce content and programming for distribution on campus web and broadcast platforms and will contribute related academic service. The position begins January 1, 2014, or no later than June 1, 2014, and salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications: Broad professional and teaching abilities, to help students develop basic and advanced cross-platform skills and a contextual and critical approach to the field; A demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in a multicultural educational environment; Master’s degree in Journalism or a closely related field and significant professional experience.
