Opportunities to publish a newspaper in one of the world’s most beautiful communities for a well-regarded family newspaper company are as rare as the individual we seek. The area is, of course, spectacularly beautiful with several world-class ski slopes, and a lake recently voted the most beautiful in North America. It is also home to sophisticated, Internet savvy advertisers as well as small mom and pop shops looking for inexpensive and cost effective ads. You’ll need to successfully work with both. From large casinos to kayak rentals, great entertainment venues to fine and not so fine dining, you’ll help build their business while building ours. The Tahoe Daily Tribune publishes quality newspapers three days per week serving local audiences, secondary homeowners, and visitors. You’ll also work with other publishers within our group serving audiences and advertisers in California and Nevada. We have a long history of product quality and provide a very strong advertising sales training program for our sales staff. Ongoing support, not only for traditional print sales but also for our very active Internet products, is available. Be prepared to effectively lead our South Lake Tahoe operation, work closely with our support services, centralized production services and your peer publishers. You should also be thinking about later career opportunities at other Swift Communication properties within California, Nevada, Colorado, Oregon, and South Dakota.
