The Capital Journal, a five-day, Monday-Friday newspaper in the outdoor paradise of Pierre, South Dakota, the state’s capital city, is looking for an ambitious reporter for its sports desk.
You’ll cover high school sports, Legion baseball and several club sports teams in up to four communities.
You will work closely with the news team to create engaging, meaningful stories for the newspaper’s print and digital platforms.
Experience with social media, video production, photography and page design are required. Creativity and a passion for adapting newspapers to the changing news media world are preferred as is an interest in the outdoors.
