Industry-leading mobile development company is looking for an experienced Director of Sales to help publishers incorporate new digital and mobile initiatives into their product line-up. Bar-Z’s Director of Sales – Publishing Sector will be responsible for building the sales pipeline for the company’s mobile solutions to customers who put ink on paper. You will be helping to transform an industry as publishers transition from a print-centric model to also incorporating new digital and mobile initiatives. You will be expected to own the sale from start to finish – driving the sales process, closing business and generating revenue – all to acheive goals in this strategically important segment. The ideal candidate will have a digital sales background and a full understanding of the publishing industry. Your list of contacts is expected to open-up opportunities for Bar-Z and allow you to profit from your relationships. You will be expected to work out of our corporate office. Some travel will be required to industry trade shows yet most of the day-to-day sales activities will be conducted over the phone and via webinar demonstrations. Depth and breadth of experience is key as the ideal candidate will have at least 5-10 years in the publishing industry. A background as a sales executive with a company selling digital services to the newspaper industry or as an ad director at a newspaper is preferable. The ideal candidate will understand the full potential that the digital transformation has on the publishing industry and will help Bar-Z craft technical solutions to capture market share and increase revenue. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree is required. Experience: At least 5-10 years in a sales or sales management capacity at a publishing company or a digital vendor to the publishing industry. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
